The goal was to keep the design to a bare minimum and focus on only the light itself—mission accomplished. Nestled in the rural surrounds of Bruny Island, Tasmania, Coopworth is a contemporary interpretation of a country farmhouse. Through playful forms and an inventive approach to materials, Coopworth tactfully converses with the ever-changing landscape of Coopworth sheep, wide-ranging views, and weathering red lead shacks dotted over the island. The task was to design a very different type of mouse that would be relevant to younger audiences who are less engaged with this category - that would shift their perceptions of what a mouse can be and could do for them through bringing expressive design, cmf and functionality.
